Damani Kofi Adadevoh (b. 1993) is a Jersey City-based tech artist, designer, and curator with a lifelong fascination for visual media and its’ intersection with technology. As a child, Damani's love for his favorite tv shows (typical 90s hits like Power Rangers, Elmo, and Barney) was so great, that his mother would often find him sitting pressed against the family's tube TV, squinting just to see. It was then, at 3 years old, that he received his first pair of glasses. He has quite literally viewed the world through lenses and frames ever since. This early experience sparked a passion for exploring the ways in which we perceive and interact with the world around us.

Today, Damani channels this passion into his work as an artist. Using various technologies he’s able to capture the physical world through camera lenses and flashing scanner frames - utilizing new and innovative techniques, that challenge our perceptions, and push the boundaries of what’s possible. In his work, Damani aims to explore his broad interest in cutting edge digital tools in the areas of 3D Modeling, 3D scanning, motion capture, VFX, and digital fabrication. His goal is often simply to create art that can inspire others to explore creative tech.

A self-described nerd, Damani has advanced skills in 3D scanning and has worked with various companies and studios as a 3D scanning specialist. He has collaborated with leading universities, design firms, and artists around the greater New York area to provide high-resolution 3D scan assets. He has worked with a range of high-profile clients, including Bella Hadid, A$AP Ferg, MSCHF, Julianne Moore, Dane Dehaan, El-P (Run The Jewels), and 100gecs.

Damani is also an expert in the 3D printing industry, with experience in rapid prototyping, jewelry casting/manufacturing, and reverse engineering. He runs a 3D Printing and Scanning business called Jersey City 3D Services. He is also a brand ambassador for Chinese scanner manufacturer Shining 3D and mobile phone app Trnio+.

In his free time, Damani draws inspiration from a wide range of genres and artists including: MF Doom, Rod Serling, Richard Prince, Daido Moriyama, Langston Hughes, John Singleton, 80s/90s horror, and vintage or forgotten technologies.
